The developer will construct the 57 private and 39 affordable homes on a 12.5-acre site east of Parsonage Road, replacing a previously consented layout with Dandara’s own contemporary housetypes.
These will include a mix of two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom properties, complemented by landscaped open spaces, play areas and walking routes to the wider countryside. Every home will be built with energy-efficient construction, EV charging points and private gardens.
Dandara will also contribute “significantly” to local education, highways and healthcare services.

“Takeley has become a sought-after location thanks to strong connectivity and lifestyle attributes, yet many families are being priced out,” said Andrew Wickett, managing director at Dandara Eastern.
“By delivering 57 market homes alongside 39 affordable homes we are helping to widen access, enhance choice and reinforce a sustainable local community.
“Our goal is to bring forward homes that provide quality and value for years to come, backed by durable design, thoughtful landscaping and connectivity to the wider neighbourhood.”
